Both stands come fitted with an internal gas strut that provides a handy auto-rising feature. They are both easy to use, and effective, as activating a lever causes the internal air driven post to rise until either the saddle makes contact or it reaches its maximum height. Once the necessary height has been achieved, you can keep the saddle secured thanks to a locking pin whilst the extra wide, 327mmx327mmm base of the stand offers you added stability.
